The view from the final hill down to the bay is spectacular. A restaurant provides a welcome break while you take in the scenery. Tanote Bay has several resorts and a couple of dive shops. Kayaks and snorkeling equipment are easily found. The beach itself is divided into two by rocks, and out in the bay the rocks provide for wonderful snorkeling just yards from the beach. Corals in hues of greens, blues, and purples together with rocks covered in Christmas tree worms can be seen here, in a riot of colour.

The rocks provide a safe haven for many small fish, and shoals of fusiliers will be plentiful. You will also see an abundance of barred rabbit fish, sergeant fish and tripletail wrasse - definitely recommended for snorkeling. The beach at Tanote Bay is a coarse type of sand. Flip flops are recommended for walking across it, and the rocks that divide the beach. Although several resorts have some lovely bungalows built around the bay, the beach is usually surprisingly quiet and peaceful. Hammocks slung in trees, and several beach bars for those seeking an inactive holiday break.
